A muscular organ about the size and shape of a fist, consisting of 2 side by side pumps.  The right side sends blood from the veins to into the lungs where the blood receives fresh oxygen. The oxygen rich blood then enters the left side of the heart which pumps it through the aorta and out to the entire body.
