Subarachnoid hemorrhage is characterized by bleeding into subarachnoid space located between the pia mater and the arachnoid layer of the meninges that surround the brain and spinal cord.
Treatment may include:
- establishing and maintaining airway for breathing
- supplemental oxygen
- cerebral vasospasm
- minimize stimuli
- rehabilitation program
- medications
Types include:
- traumatic
- spontaneous (non-traumatic)
