RWJ Hamilton Appoints Patty Palmieri Senior Vice President

Patricia Palmieri, R.Ph. MBA, has been appointed Senior Vice President/Chief Operating and Strategy Officer at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJ Hamilton).
Palmieri, with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, comes to RWJ Hamilton after serving as Vice President of Operations at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where she worked since 2006.
“With an extensive background in healthcare, her record of accomplishments in the Robert Wood Johnson Health System, and family roots in Mercer County, Patty is a perfect fit for RWJ Hamilton,” said Skip Cimino, president and CEO of RWJ Hamilton.
She is responsible for developing strategic programs and partnerships, as well as providing leadership of operations, physician practices, and surgical and patient care services.
Born and raised in the Trenton/Hamilton area, Palmieri has strong ties to the community. “My family lives in Hamilton Township and I am excited to join our hometown hospital. These are exciting times for RWJ. We are on the cusp of delivering care in a whole new environment, with healthcare reform upon us.”
As Vice President of Operations at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, Palmieri’s team included 800 employees. She led the hospital’s ambulatory strategy and the development of several initiatives contributing to the hospital’s growth and success. Prior to RWJ, Palmieri held a management position with AtlanticCare and providing consulting services with Cardinal Health.
A graduate of Rutgers University where she earned a degree in pharmacy, Palmieri also received her MBA from Drexel University.
