Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with the skin and its diseases.  There are several subspecialties of dermatology including:
  • cosmetic dermatology - concerned with the cosmetic procedures including liposuction and face lifts
  • dermatopathology - concerned with the pathology of the skin
  • immunodermatology - concerned with the treatment of immune mediated skin diseases
  • Mohs Surgery - also known as chemosurgery, is a microscopically controlled surgery used to treat common types of skin cancer
  • pediatric dermatology - concerned with issues with the pediatric community including hereditary skin diseases
