A stye is a swelling around the eyelid that occurs when a follicle on the eyelid gets infected.
Symptoms may include:
- red and painful upon touch
- a white head of pus appears on the swollen area
Treatment may include:
- warm moist compresses
- wash eyelid with a mild soap
