Scleroderma is a connective tissue disease characterized by inflammatory, degenerative, and fibrotic changes in skin, blood vessels, synovial membranes, skeletal muscles, and internal organs.
Symptoms may include:
- skin thickening
- crest syndrome - a benign type of systemic sclerosis
- calcinosis
- raynaud's phenomenon
- esophageal dysfunction
