Proptosis, or exophthalmos, is an abnormal bulging of one or both eyes.
Symptoms may include:
- protruding eye
- dry cornea
- corneal ulcer
- impaired vision
Treatment may include:
- vascular procedure to close off certain blood vessels
- treating any underlying conditions
- shades for the eyes
- eye drops
- medication
- radiation therapy
